Yes.
I love going round charity shops and buying CD's that are either deleted, or 'hard to find'
I got George Michael's Father Figure on CD for £1, and it recently went on Ebay for £57.
I don't sell them on (I'm not a dealer), but I have no shame in shopping at charity shops. The money spent there goes to good causes.

Yes, I collect all things Oriental and have gained most of my collection of unique pieces from these shops for next to nothing. I've paid less than $5.00 for most and one item in particular is worth a good deal from what I've found out.

A shop here actually had this incredibly ugly German stine at one point, I picked it up because it was so hideous :) but never purchased because I had no interest. A few weeks later while watching the Antique Road Show, they showed this stine!!! It garnered a $2500 price tag. Was I ticked? Slightly :) Another person here purchased a photo that was taken by a local photographer of the Royal family in Holland...he purchased it for $5.00 and it also netted $2500...he gave the proceeds to charity again tho...

Some terrific finds...some people don't know what they have so they let it go to charity..."gold mine" might be a way to describe these stores :) but when you purchase from here you give back to the community at large as these types of stores help many, many deserving people/families...at least that's what they do in our area.

Yes!! I love scouring through charity shops...you can get some real bargains from them! I tend to look for labels...and some of the stuff that I get from them are still brand new!...In fact I took my daughter out last week, and someone commented on her outfit, saying it was nice, they asked me where I got it, and I said 'A Charity shop!'

Yes, several things. The best thing I ever bought was in St. Alban's, England. I bought a gold ring with a huge red stone in it for 10 pounds. It is gorgeous and I get compliments on it everywhere I go. I have also bought lots of other things...jewelry, odd and ends, clothing. Great deals and you are helping others out!

I buy all my clothes (not underwear) from charity shops and books too.
The clothes are freshly washed and normally in good condition. I can buy 4 or 5 items for the price of one in a new shop.
Where else could you find a designer item for a couple of quid

Yes lots of things, clothes, jewellery, household items etc, etc.

People who think it beneath them to buy second hand clothes maybe should ponder this...........

New clothes can be 'second hand' if you think how many people may have tried them on in the stores and not bought them. Just a thought.

Happy shopping.

Hope Harbor ROCKS

I also donate every year, usually 2-3 computers and whatever else I can find. We normally get cheap winter clothes there to use outside throwing snowballs at each other.

Good place
Great price
Fantastic Idea
