I get excited when the movie adapttions of my favorite books are made. Like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Charlotte's Web, How to eat Fried Worms, I read all those books as a kid and I have to say I like reading the books better than the adaptions of the book. I guess I miss some of the details and then sometimes they add extra stuff in to make it more appealing.

Yes, I have seen many a good adaptation, some of which you would not pick up on unless you were looking for it. Try Michael and the Wizzard of Oz and WallStreet and The Great Gatsby, and Bridgette Jones Diary and Pride and Pejudice. The newwest adaption I saw that I liked was King Kong and Heart of Darkness. I can think of a lot more but the point is I like adaptations when they are good.

I prefer books to films, I mean I never enjoy a movie adaptation as much as I enjoy the original book.

Yes! I think they did a good job with Harry Potter and with "In Her Shoes". I usually prefer Stephen King books to the movies, and I didn't particularly care for the movie version of "Running with Scissors". I was disappointed in The DaVinci Code...blockbuster film, but didn't do the book justice.

Most of the time. Usually I'll go see the movie and read the book again! But I'm waiting for the third book in Christopher Paolini's trilogy in this case ;)

When I go to see a movie made from a book I read, I've learned to expect dissapointment. Too many times, stuff is taken way out of context. But it is sort of neat to see what you read, I guess. Though it's always different than you imagine it.

Yes. i do. I really do!!! I get over excited that I can't stop blabbing the story out to people that hasn't read it; and when I saw it, I get dissapointed because they cut some parts off of the book.

not really, i'm often disappointed because the movie is usually not what i expected. also i hate when i have built an image of a situation or a character and then i watch the movie and i'm wrong. it disappoints me.
i usually avoid the movie after i have read the book.

Yes, and then always disappointed after, as the movie never does the book justice.
