no, i've thought about this before.. i couldn't deal with that, as a mom, living on after my son and seeing all of the people around me dying and knowing i can live til i'm 200... where is the fun in that... we never know when life is over and thats the way i like it, living each day to the max and embracing each new day! it's not always easy coz there are lots of ups and downs but that's what makes life worthwhile!
Good question though!! food for thought!

Imagine what you'd look like at 200, eww that'd be nasty. You'd wee yourself if you could actually walk. You'd have terrible hair and teeth. Imagine the wrinkles. If I looked and felt about 50 then yeah I would, your loved ones would be gone, but you can meet a whole bunch of new ones. You'd still have your great great grandkids. Imagine christmas time though! all the money you would have to spend.

Yes. It would be hard, of course, to see our nearest and dearest disappear, but when the moment comes for you to die, would you really want to take the option, knowing you may well never experience the joys of life in general again.
As far as the prospects for extended life is concerned, there is a real hope that we can live for ever in perfect conditions with our family and friends around us. Jehovah's Witnesses have further details and would be happy to show you them from the Bible.

I don`t know, I`m comfortable and lack nothing, but, I would I want to re-start a life when all my genuine friends and family have gone ?
I don`t think so, perhaps I would be viewed as some sort of a freak (which I would be) and become a celebrity on "get me out of here"--------- no we have but one life, live it to the full and enjoy what you have.

Well, no. Right now I am only 17, but someday I hope to have a husband and have kids. Now, it's no guarantee that I'll die before my kids but more than likely I'll be the one to go first. I don't think I could stand to lose a child....I've seen mother's who have lost their children and they barely go on living.
And besides, death is just the next big journey.

I would love to live for 200yrs, I could be a grumpy old git, tell people what i thought of them and chase 20yr old women, and no one would bat an eye lid, cos everyone will say "take no notice, hes a cantacerious old git and will never change !"

I do follow the immortalist path, and I believe I can live with it. I feel we are all our born with individual choice of living either the belief of continuing life (immortalist philosophy) or eventual death (deathist philosophy). I do have friends and family who believe they will eventually die, and I respect their choice. I don't expect them to respect my choice to try to be immortal, (since it's hard to believe), so I keep it personally to myself. If any of them ever wanted to be immortal, then they would have already had it in their personalities.

No , definitely not. I would not want to exist without my friends and family. Being that old does not hold any fascination for me, i don't like getting older at all.:)
