Nothing bad is going to happen just because you worry or have "negative" thoughts....so don't stress over that one! What you are going through is totally normal. I had a very early miscarriage with my first pregnancy and when I went for my 9 week ultrasound I was scared to death!!!! I swear I imagined every single scenerio possible, only because I wanted this baby so bad and loved her so much. Everything turned out totally normal...at this point you can't see much...he or she will look like a peanut and you'll see a tiny flickering in the middle...that's the heartbeat. The tech will be able to point that out for you, and they will confirm and date your pregnancy, which will make you feel 10 times better! You will be fine and feel great once it's overwith.

Usually at your first appt. they take blood, urine and talk to you about all of your upcoming appts. They may not do an ultrasound this early but they will use a doppler to let you hear the baby's heartbeat. I go for my first ultrasound on the 28th and I'm 15 weeks pregnant right now. I'm a little nervous but I figure if I've done everything I can to ensure this baby will be okay the rest is up to fate. Worrying won't change anything it just makes you miserable. Good luck and I'm sure you'll be fine! Congrats!

Of course it's normal to be scared. You don't know what to expect. Think of it this way, though. You get to see your baby on the ultrasound and know that he or she is doing just fine. There really is no sweeter thing in the world than to see that little heart beating. You'll feel a lot better once you leave, I can assure you. So try to relax and focus on the positive. You get a sneak peek at your little one!! As for what to expect, your doctor will probably give you a urine test and order blood tests, check your weight and ask you how you've been feeling. If you have questions or concerns, just let him or her know. I've found that knowledge is the best comfort when you're pregnant.
Congrats on your pregnancy!

I know EXACTLY how you feel sweetie!!!! I am 11 weeks pregnant, and i am always wondering if i am going to have a miscarriage, if my baby is going to have something wrong with itself, If the baby has all its fingers and toes!!! UGHHH,,,, yes its normal i would say, but my first appointment was scary as well, i thought i was going to look at the screen and not see anything, or that i was not going to hear a heartbeat... But when i did, all those fears and concerns went out the window.... for the mostpart.... But good luck to you, dont worry about anything.

Relax. You should be excited. All those worries and fears are totally normal. Try and put them to the back of your head for the moment. Worrying is not going to do either of you any good. Stay positive and Good Luck!

Perfectly normal. I was the same way. Just ask for the good news first. Heartbeat. Then sit back and relax and enjoy the show. I was the same way with EVERY pregnancy. I think it's just normal jitters.
