Why would you think it isnt wise to give...i think you should give and then tell your wife.. if u must..! what the right had does the left shouldnt know...we r just giving him back what is rightly his..for the extention of his kingdom...dont hesitate...=) and remember God is nobody''s debtor he will reward u...do not give seeking his reward, give with regard to your love for him...Give and it will come back to you..good measure...pressed..shaken together.. running over..The Lord loves a cheerful giver=)

Oh ! No - dont you will only be paying for the Rev's Xmas party. I hate seeing people - especially the elderly - thinking that by handing over their cash to the church gets them a front place in the Q at St Peters Gate. Buy you Wife a nice pair of undies.. or a take her on a wee break

If you really have money to give away, there are million poor children in the world that need only a portion of that to just have food to eat. You should give to the red cross or World Vision.

Church is place for rich people in limousine driving around asking for donation.

No matter what, when it comes to money you need to talk about it!!! Explain to her why, sell the idea to her, listen and respect her thoughts. It is your money together, your future together, your comfort together. But, if you really believe that it is the best thing to do, then you need to be able to express that to her. Address her concerns and share your thoughts and feelings. It is the only way to be able to do it. If you cannot resolve your issue, talk to a person at the church about it. Having the best of intentions and wishing to do things, is sometimes just as good as the actual doing.
