I know how you feel, i am bored stupid sitting behind this desk. I have no motivation to the job i am supposed to be doing.

As for working with animals maybe start your own dog walking service or mobile dog grooming???

I know what you mean... I feel the same and have wanted to get into working with animals but I've found that generally the salaries are pretty poor at best (12-13K?) for some reason so I had to skip that idea, and I'm still clueless as to where to go from here.

Sorry that isn't a lot of help.

And hamihum that is really no use AT ALL!!!

I was the same when I worked in an office so boring. It would be very rewarding working with animals I should think a lot of the work involves cleaning and mucking out, try your local job centre to see if they can advise you what is available without qualifications. Good luck.

You'll need training of some kind. Maybe some schooling is your answer, to get your mind out of this boring job. This is only a job, it's not your life. Take the paycheck and sign up for some courses at night (or days if you work nights). It can be fun and worth your while!

Best of Luck and Happy Holidays!

receptionist in the vets?

You can get on job training and/or do an NVQ at the same time.

Would be a good foot in the door when you consider the administrative skills you have gained working in the office.

only if you like cleaning up poo at the zoo. I hear they get paid pretty good to do that. You could try one of those 6 week courses that teach you to be a vet technician. Good Luck!

There are several ways you can do this, but most do not involve getting paid. what you DO get is the satisfaction that you have done something, and you can always use it on your resume later on.

Example below for the one I work with.....

maybe you need more of an active kind of occupation. I am a hairstylist for 30 yrs. now and I have ALWAYS felt blessed to be having fun all day and getting paid for it!
