When I say job, I mean a position as an analyst and NOT just someone who answers phone calls or fixes the PC's.

Yes, you can. But it's more likely you will have to work your way up at other firms first. I've read several studies that show firms of this nature tend to hire top tier grads regardless of how good they might actually be. I'll match my state school education against any Harvard Alum, but the Ivy League types go to those schools precisely for the connections.

It is rare. You have to go to a top school to get into the analytst program. You can get a job in another company and then get hired at GS, but not into the program.
