I guess its the hormone thing going on. I was so shocked when I first had these "mad" feelings. I never really has pms that bad. And I'm just begining menoupause. I get really upset over things that used to not bother me in the least. And want to cry at the drop of a pin. I don't like feeling this way either. I have always been such a patient and caring person, that when I started to get so mad, I didn't understand it. You just never know when its going to hit you hard. You can be all happy go lucky one minute and upset as all get out the next over something stupid. And you know it is, but you honestly can't help it. And then that makes you want to cry. And then you get more upset if you start to cry. So just be patient. It is not our true selves shining through.

Women do not go 'mad' during or after menopause so I have no examples to cite. Hormonal changes occur, but it's not a brain disease. You are misinformed.

You try getting awakened by a hot flash where it feels like you are burning up from the inside out every two or three hours and then freezing to death because your sheets and clothing are soaked! Or taking a nice shower and scrubbing yourself clean and just as you step out of the shower having another freaking hot flash where sweat oozes out of every part of your body. Or getting all dressed up to go somewhere and after you slip on your heels, BAM! here comes another one and there goes your hair and makeup and everything. They used to use sleep deprivation as a torture technique. Menopause feels like the same thing! If you have never experienced it, you can't have a clue. It SUCKS!

Well...the hot flashes are madding. Just the fact that it is time for such a thing ...as far as getting older may freak out women. You realize that you are not as young as you used to be. Your body starts to ache and things start sagging and turning grey. The hormone problems are not pleasent and usually, your not as horney as your hubby wants you to be.

I don't know why, I guess those hormones must be pretty important. I felt slightly paranoid during menopause. It was horrible.
