how do i find phone listing in the united kingdom , or the phone books in that country?

i am trying to look up a telephone # in the united kingdom but i dont seem to be able to find a way to get to the telephone listing there .. can any one tell me how to do that .. get the phone listings in the uk from my computer .. thanks
