Yep, I've just bought this from QVC to do exactly the same as you...and it cleans up any noise as it goes along too! Have a look... You have to be a QVC member but registration is free either online or by calling them on the number listed on the site.

You will need to convert the record or tape to mp3 format on your PC and burn the CD from there. I know there is one that will do vinyl - you can get it on firebox.com Not sure if there's a tape one
