Honestly, try to wait it out. Believe me, I'm in my 38th week and so ready to go into labor, but for the health of your child and for your peace of mind, it's just better to wait. When he or she is ready, you'll know.....and if it turns out that you have a baby who is too comfy in there the drs will decide if and when to induce labor. Like I said, it's hard to wait but you'll be happier in the long run knowing that you did the right thing for your baby!

That other person that said that full term 38 weeks and that they don't induce before 39 weeks doesn't know what they are talking about. Full term is 37 weeks and 36 weeks is when you could safely have your baby probably without it needing to go to the NICU for extra lung support. Try to wait until 37 weeks and 36 weeks at least. Before 37 weeks it is very hard to start labor naturally because unless something is wrong your body will fight off labor until it's time. Your doctor might induce your labor at 37 or 38 weeks because of your gallbladder problems. Tell your doctor about how much pain you are in and ask if they will induce you at 37 weeks.

You don't want an early labor. Why? Because the baby will be small. It will require a lot more feedings and you will be up all night long. If you give birth to a healthy, 7 or 8 pounder (or larger), you will feed only every three hours or more.

The only thing you can do is talk to your doctor about having your labor induced. Believe me if there was any other way to have someone go into labor early people would do it instead of delivering 2 weeks late.

If you are not in labor it's because you baby isn't ready. Why force nature? It only causes problems.
I know you are booked in for a c-section, but you have the right to say no if you would preffer a vaginal delivery.
Inductions have a higher risk for c-sections anyway.

That being said, blue/black cohosh and accupuncter can help you force you baby out before it's time.

Don't risk your child's health because you are uncomfortable. Your due date is an ESTIMATE. Which means it could go 2 wks either way. That is why a lot of docs will not induce until the lady is 1-2 wks overdue, in case they were off. Just try to rest and relax because pretty soon you won't be able too.

I don't know how close you are, If you arent close to your due date it wont happen. You will just wear yourself out mentally and physically. That said I was once due on the 3rd of january and wanted to have the baby in time for a tax break LOL. He was a health little boy born on dec 28th

My fav's were rasberry tea, evening primrose oil and walking the stairs - that really kicked little contractions into gear.

Why would you want to do that?
That's very risky, very unhealthy, and will cause much more painful contractions and labor!!
My sister-in-law induced her own labor and her contractions were as bad as they could possibly get!! And then they had to induce her anyway! So, it's not worth it at all!
The baby will come when it's READY.

Good luck with it! I know how it feels to WAIT AND WAIT AND WAIT! :)

You can do a lot of walking, have sex, but mostly you will just have to wait until "Baby" is ready to come. Good luck and congratulations!
