I carried my twins past my due date. They were born weighing 6 lbs 13 ozs. and 7 lbs 4 oz., 21 inches long. THey are identical. The last month was really hard for me, and I remember just wanting it over with too. I ended up having to have a c section when I finally went into labor, for some reason they just wouldn't come out. (That was after 9 hours of labor). Believe me, it is all going to be worth it. The best thing you can do is try to get comfortable, I would sometimes sleep in a recliner to give my back a rest. Good luck.

First of all congratulate yourself for making it as far as you have with twins. I am a mommy of identical twin boys who are 16 months old. The end was TERRIBLE. I couldn't lift my legs to get up stairs. I couldn't sleep, relax or feel comfortable. Seriously, it was the worst I have ever felt and I had had babies before that.

Just keep pushing for two more weeks. At 37 weeks my boys were born. They weighed 6 lbs 5 oz and 5 lbs 15 oz. That is huge for twins! No wonder I was so uncomfortable! Just try to rest. Realize that right now is the last moments in a long time you will have to laze around and rest.

I was very worried about the birth. I had preterm labor from 20 wks on and was on bedrest and had to take meds to keep from having contractions. I was so scared something would go wrong. Everything went as well as possible. The only thing that happened was twin b was breach and born that way. I was lucky I didn't have to have a natural birth and a c-section to top it off.

Good luck to you and just remember that 2 more weeks will be even better for your babies.

Hello,

I feel you pain. When I was pregnant with my twin girls from my 4-7th month, I could no longer, eat, sleep or breathe! I was going crazy!!

But, God heard all my complaining and decided to let my twiins be born in the 32nd week. They were born very healthy, do to all the water I drank (32-64 oz a day) and I rested a lot.

But, Baby "B" was crowding Baby "A" out and on Nov 5, 2005, my twins were born and placed in the NICU for two weeks. Baby "A" weighed 3lbs 8oz and Baby "B" weighed 3lbs 13oz.

I had a c section, which I had elected to do in the beginning and the delivery was good. It probably took no more that 5 minutes to get them out. I was put under, knocked out...which I was glad too...I did not need that epidural...YUCK!!

Today, they are 13 months old and very active and healthy.

One more thing, make sure you join the Mother of Twins Club in your county or city. I wish I would have when I was pregnant. But, this October I did join and I love it. They are so very helpful and a fun club to be a part of.

Praise God!

Hope this kinda helps you............... : -O

Hi, my twins are 16 months now and I was induced at 38 weeks. My birth was great, my labour was 17.5 hours but I listened to a hypnosis CD the whole time (as well as using a tens machine and gas and air). There was 2.5 hours between my baies as the second baby got stuck and I had an epidural between the births and he was delivered by vonteuse. Straight after the birth I would have happily gone through it again although it did leave me sore (with stiches) and bruised. The anticipatin was much worse than the actual birth as was the pregnancy. I found that the best thing to do to help me sleep wise was to sleep upright in a chair with my feet up. During the day to amuse yourself why dont you do some shopping for the babies. I found these a godsend : http://www.podeebottles.co.uk. I hope everything goes well for you.

I haven't had twins, but a young girls fell pregnant for the first time with twin boys. She lost so much weight because the boys were so squished in that it shrunk her stomach to where a half a piece of toast became too much. She a night of sex because her partner was going to jail and they wanted one last night of passion. She went into labour not long after and he midded the birth by a couple of hours. She was about 36 weeks along.I used to feel so sorry for her as she really struggled.
I am scared for my children as Both of their grandparents are twins and since it is supposed to skip a generation. Mainly for my daughter.
Good luck to you and hope it is all over for you soon.

congrats and i am very surprised you have gone this long with twins too. i just had 1, but they didnt induce me, i had an emergency c-section. so with twins, if they plan to induce you and everything goes ok you should deliver vaginally, but don't forget with twins there is a chance that u could have a cs. good luck. and p.s. i suggest some pain meds for when you deliver, esp with 2!
