You know you are ovulating when your juices are clear and stringy. When I want to know if my wife is ovulating, I check out her juices.

There is a German word for what you are may be experiencing! It is called mittleschmerze (n). It means "middle pain." Not all women feel this though. I have felt a pain like this myself. There are many signs of ovulation.

1. A rise in body temperature, you will not notice it yourself. You must use a therometer to check your temp for a few days when you think you will be ovulating.

2. Your discharge will change as well. When your getting close to ovulation, it will be cloudy and slightly stretchy. When you are ovulating, it will be more like egg whites.

3. You may feel more horny during the time approaching ovulation and the day of and the day after.

4. Further research has been done that a women may feel more sexier around this time and may wish to dress up more. Also, her breasts may be swollen and more enlarged and she may be more judgemental about other women's apperances!

5. A myth is that a woman will only ovulate on her 14th day of her cycle. However, that is not true of all women! It all depends on your cycle. Yet, the average time after ovulation to your period is 14 days. Therefore, a period is NEVER late. You OVULATED late and your period will follow about 14 days later. Just remember 14 days after is just the average. There can be different variations to this.

There is more information about this on the web and it will go into more detail than me.

I do....every other month I can feel ovulation. it feels like a little pinch on my left side. There's really no way to tell for sure if it's ovulation, but if it occurs regularly about 10 days after your period (and your cycle averages about 28 days), alternates left and right sides each month, and is not severe pain - but a little pinch or cramping - it's very likely ovulation cramping.
