PCI-E cards require PCI-E slots...u wil know them cos they are longer than normal PCI slots and always situated above the normal ones. and there is a MASSIVE bandwidth increase from AGP. which in english means that the graphics card has alot more pipeline to recieve data from the processor, so it goes faster. PCI-E is the future my friend and its also getting pretty cheap...

Yes, PCI-express graphics cards are faster then AGP video cards, but no you cannot insert one into a PCI slot they would not work or fit.

A PCI-Express slot is different than a PCI slot. PCI-E is better tha AGP. For comparison of the throughput speeds
PCI 2.2 = 133mb/sec
AGP 1.0 = 266mb/sec
AGP 2x = 533 mb/sec
AGP 4x = 1.06gb/sec
AGP 8x = 2.1 gb/sec
PCI express with its sixteen pairs carries 4GB/s as opposed to AGP 8X 2.1 GB/s.

No it doesnt need anything extra. And you want to know if its better than AGP? AGP is an advanced graphics port and is used pretty much only for a graphics card.
