If you go on to google and type in the celebritys name - there official website may come up. on this website it may have links - possibly one for the official myspace.
But sometimes this does not work.

The page will usually look better than regular people's pages. If the page isn't designed well, it is probably fake. And sometimes you can tell by what they write on there, like if they have the wrong age, or the information is written with bad grammar, etc. And if they have good pictures, not just pictures that you can copy from the web.
Also, if the celebrity has an official website or, if its a musician, the record label's website will usually have a link to the person's myspace page

Nine out of ten times the myspace website list their official website and I check the official website for a link back to their myspace profile. Most of the time they have one but if they don't just e-mail the official site of the celeb and ask if that is a valid myspace account. It might take a little time for them to get back but sometimes celebs like to know to if peeps is posing as them! Good luck!

Just pay close attention to the details in the profile, usually there's something off even if the imposter thinks that he/she has all bases covered. Pay special attention to birthday and educational background; on more than one occasion I've caught fake profiles that incorrectly said that a celebrity who didn't go to college did, or got the age wrong by a lot.

check the photo's on the net. if its there then its a fake. also by the information that the account gives, normally its a pretty good description but sometimes its not, and its obviously a fake. Or just say to yourself would this celebrity have time to make an account??

there is no way to find out really, just always keep in the back of your head they are fake and not set your self up for a disappointement, i do believe how ever that its possible for them to get on there, but i do know that bands are real , and the official websites are theirs but its not them doing the sites it there web designers and such forth.
