Yes, you can! Every women's cycle is different. How is it exactly possible? Here is a good answer from a site:

"Eggs can easily be released at odd times. There could easily be another egg coming down the tube that is just waiting for a sperm, and the new baby could be there, waiting, when the next lining is formed for it.

Also, sperm are very hearty. They can easily last 5 days or more. So the sperm can simply sit there in the uterus, waiting for the next egg to come down the chute. When it does, they hook up with it, create the baby, and now you're pregnant."

So an egg can be released during her period (this mostly happens to girls who have a period lasting 1-3 days normally) or right after! The human body is amazing.

No it is not . Your body works by a clock inside believe it or not and pregnancy only happens on the 14th day following your period. So on day 1 count `14 and there you go a time calender of when you can conceive, but the are a day or to where it is still possible and that is the 13th and the 15th due to the sex and the sperm travelling through the body. But your period is in fact on of the safest times if you so wish to have sex on those days. if you have any doubts please go see your nurse at a well woman clinic they have all the answers .take care

Yes you most certainly can. I find it ironic that a poster up there is saying YOU need to go back to school when they are the ones that are clueless about this. More info: Yes. Even though this is the least likely time for you to get pregnant, it does happen. Women can ovulate at any time, even during their period. And menstrual blood can transmit HIV, so you should definitely practice safe sex during your period.

It's less likely than at other times of the month, but it can happen especially if you have sex a few days into the period. Everyone's cycle is different and taking a guess at when you are fertile or not will probably result in a pregnancy before too long!

If you have a regular 28 day cycle then you should be OK. Most women ovulate on day 14 (14 days after the 1st day of their period) in a regular 28 day cycle. Sperm can survive up to 5 days inside you so having sex up to around day 7 or 8 should be OK.

If your cycle is shorter then you need to be more careful. It is theoretically possible to begin ovulation immediately after your period finishes if you have a short cycle e.g. 21 days.

It could be if you have very short or irregular cycles. You are usually fertile approx 14 days before next period but the phase between current period and fertile stage varies between women, hence altering the duration of their cycle. Therefore if you dont want a baby you shouldnt take any chances and always use contraception.

yes it is. it may be less likely but its still possible. You still need to use an effective method of contracteption, and remember. A condom is the only way to stop STIs
