Q : How many stairs to get to the top?
A : 1665 from the ground to the top via the east pillar.
However, the steps from the second floor to the top are closed to the public

Counting from the ground, there are 347 steps to the first level, 674 steps to the second level, and 1,710 steps to the small platform on the top of the tower.

1660 steps - 360 to the first level, another 359 to the second. It is not possible for the public to reach the summit via the stairs, lifts are required beyond the second platform. Lift tickets may be purchased at the base or either platform.

0-zero.. there are no steps leading up to the eiffel tower.. there are only steps in/on the tower!
