What ever part she plays they are always the same charactor.Every thing from Educating Rita to Driving lessons they have all been a variation of Mrs Overall,from Acorn Antiques,she can only do one voice,which is fine ,but pleeeeese stop saying she is wonderful

She is one of Britains top actresses. While people might not always like the charactors she plays, she always gives a good performance. I do agree that not all her roles have been substantialy different. In a similar vain to Julie Walters, but with, I might suggest, a wider repatoire is Brenda Blethyn
