Yes, employers definitely prefer undergrads with internship experience.

As for getting into an MBA program, some schools actually do require the applicant to have some experience before they accept them, these are some of the better ones. However, some do not require experience, good undergrad grades and a good GMAT score would be enough (you need to take the GMAT to apply for an MBA)
