You should definitely get it checked out if you find it difficult to weight bare. My mum broke one of the tiny bones in her foot last year, she was able to walk with a limp but did find it painful. She only went to A&E because I convinced her. You should do the same, why not? They will x-ray it and tell you if there are any broken bones. The Dr my mum saw said she didn't think it was broken but was surprised when the x-ray showed one of the bones were broken. Just go and get it checked at least then you will know for sure. My mum had to wear a cast for 6 weeks and as soon as the cast went on she didn't feel any pain.

The foot I learned at age 19 in the army can be broken. It is about the hardest bone there is to break, or put differently it resists breaking better than most bones. You dropped something heavy on it though, so maybe you managed to break it, or more likely chip it. Either way, my suggestion is head for the doctor and get it looked at, and be insistent that he really look. Doctors seem to dismiss the possibility of broken foot quite often simply because it is so resistant to breaking. If it is broken? Mine got me 7 months of light duty, which is like a holiday in the army. Also a full year of no jumping which is bad if you are Airborne Division. Takes a bit of pampering to heal.

Yes i think you should either go along to see your gp or go to your nearest A/E dept. They will fully examine your foot and send you for a x-ray,this is the only way off finding out if you have a fracture there. You have signs off a fracture to me,but honestly without seeing you i couldnt defiantly say.In the meantime keep your whole leg elevated higher then your heart when resting, apply a cold compress to the area, keep check on the circulation especially the toes, and try not to put to much weight on that foot.Get this seen to thou, just in case you have a fracture.Good Luck

Xrays are painless and the cost is not unreasonable, so you really don't have any reason not to get it checked. I didn't think my foot was broken when it started hurting, but when I got it checked out, they x-rayed it and it was. If I had continued to walk on it, it might never have healed properly.

Yes - my Mum broke her foot and it took four months for the Dr to send her to the hospital for a check up. She came back with her foot in plaster and realised why her foot had been hurting so much. Please get it checked out - you need to be on the safe side.

i would get it checked out, just to be on the safe side!!
- something slightly irrelevant but anyway - i broke my thumb when i fell over skiing and left it till the morning, (cos i was too scared to see a french dr, but im glad i did see a dr cos i would have been in agony)because i didnt want anything to be wrong with it so forced it to move- which made it worse- and i had to have it in plaster for ages-but i didnt break it by forcing it to move, it was already broken!
good luck, hope you are ok!!

lol neither the way forward for britain or guy U rests on the foot of Rooney, so do not count variety out England from Euro 08 in simple terms yet. i don't see this being lots of a concern for guy U. guy U will nevertheless finally end up on the dazzling!

Of course you should get it checked out. If you can wiggle your toes you're probably OK but get it checked anyway.
