use the BODMAS rule so u do the division and multiplication first before attempting addition and subtraction (:

8+2*5-24/6*2
= 8+10-4*2
= 8+10-8
=10

Apply BODMAS rule..
i.e. 24/6=4
4*2=8
2*5=10
10+8=18
18-8=10 (4*2=8(step 2))
