when i right click on it there is no option for deleting, how can i get rid of it, i have also tried dragging it and dropping it into the bin

Have you tried booting in safe mode and deleting from there? Safe mode stops all unecessary programs starting up, so if its a problem file it should be possible to get rid od it that way.
To get into safe mode repeatedly press the F8 key when you switch on your pc, after the bios screen and before the Windows load screen.

Use the Search option in the Start List. Type the name of the file and it should show up. Be careful to delete only the info that has to do with that file. That should take care of it. Good Luck!

you can delete it via MS-DOS although it isn't easy... if you mail me over the directory and the filename i can tell you the coding you need to do to delete via dos

tryu doing it from DOS
Click Start, Run and then type CMD
look at the folder your gile is in then type
cd C:\folder\names\to\file
then type del file.name
and see if it works
