Or, because of the SMPS.. I put a new 400W SMPS in the place of a 300W SMPS which i was using for the past 4 years.. Is this the cause?

Seems like the memory would be good to check, considering the timing, but you cannot be absolutely sure without some testing. Go to http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/ and download the Ultimate Boot CD, burn the iso to a CD, and use one of the tools like the Windows Memory Diagnostic to look for memory errors. If you don't have another computer to burn the CD and the crash is too frequent to complete these steps, then try removing the newly installed memory.

If it is a memory error, check to make sure the memory is seated properly. You may also want to compare the latency specs and make sure that your BIOS is set accordingly.

You should also check to make sure your cooling fans are functioning and free of dust. You may try replacing the power supply if you have difficulty finding the problem.

ram.or theres a small possibility that the power supply si shorting due to a loose or incorrect wire.take the 256 sd chip out and see if it still does it.then try the other way then both but in different slots.make sure your chips are compatible with each other and also mboard.no change check ps connections.

Your PC may not be compatible for the RAM you are using. Please check with your vendor whether your PC supports that RAM configuration. Also check the Bus Speed of your PC. The problem is with RAM only.

If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.
