No, but it's certainly been over-commercialized.

It is not over rated, but it is over commercialized. We have forgotten the real menaing of Christmas which is giving (not buying and getting into debt) love, affection, care and maybe tokens for gifts. To go and see relatives and friends especially the old or lonely. It is to celebrate the birth of Christ. But who goes to church on Christmas Day, I dont think even 10% do.

I am not a humbug and I love Christmas and all the trimmings, but I thik we should climb down a bit and celebrate the real meaning.

No christmas is NOT overated, it's over comercialised. The average household spends between 3 & 5 thousand pounds on christmas these days.
If I have spent as much as 5 hundred I will be surprised.

Yes it is and also to commercialised. I will be glad when it is all over to get back to normality and the prices of goods are back at normal prices instead of paying the odds over Christmas for things.

As far as trade is concerned it's the Feast of Turnover.

As far as the public is concerned it's the Festival of Conspicuous Consumption.

There's a bloke down the road with a dog collar trying to drag religion into it, too.

Sorry God, we've really blown it.

Its become totally over commercialised and just a good excuse for the shops to make money out of people.
