ive even heard that naomi was in tyra's shadow.what is it,jealosy or 2 black models try to dominate the whole white modeling game or another reason?can somebody please break it down for me.

Well we all know how fiery Naomi`s temperament is, don`t we?
Naomi was already established as the only black supermodel when Tyra, five years her junior, pulled an appearance on the catwalk.
Naomi understandably saw red (and green too considering her overwhelmingly jealous nature!) and tried to destroy Tyra`s modeling career and make her life hell from the onset.
It`s all very petty & bitchy between the two breathtaking black beauties but apparently, they have now reconciled on Tyra `s TV show (The Tyra Banks Show), or so I heard...
Bottom line is, it`s all due to jealousy & competitiveness, mostly on Naomi`s part I believe.
Try to check out Tyra`s interview with Naomi if you can! It will probably answer all your queries I bet!
P.S. Which one do you think is prettiest between the two?

They might be opposite in personality,two known names,Naomi needs to check her attitudes but i think she can work the run way better than Tyra,sorry Tyra i will still watch your show but if you gave Naomi Tyra job for a week i think they will have some competition going on.

It happened many years ago, when Tyra was tipped to become the new Naomi, and of course the latter only saw red and green, and so tried to ruin Tyra's career and even threatened her "You'll never ever be me -- NEVER!!" But they've since reconciled on Tyra's show last year, and all if good between them now, I think. To answer one of the poster's question, Tyra is way hotter than Naomi.

cambell was jealous that tyra just starting out at 14 was getting just as much attention as she was being already established and all. cambell was very mean to tyra back stage of the shows they worked together

Yes, actually, according to Tyra, Niomi hated her and was jealous. So becuz Niomi was more popular then, she would make threats to agencys that if they hired Tyra, she wouldnt work for them. They both have bad attitudes
