because Ben Grimm asked that question (not correctly) about the George Cross when it is ALL flags. anyway who would want to take a national flag to a club game anyway? i have been to Arsenal many many times and i cant really remember seeing any anyway so would not exactly be a loss. I agree with you totally as I can not recall seeing that many if any National Flags being waved at Arsenal. So like you I can not see it making much difference.

I am gunner, I can't see anything wrong with banning the flags.
Up here in Scotland part of the problem with the old firm is Celtic have Irish flags and Rangers have union jacks. That leads to songs about killing the irsh and then songs about the ira.

I admit I don't think England has this problem but my point is football should be about the players, not other countries, politics or religion.

Lets just watch Arsenal for the football.
What does a flag matter if your winning 3 or 4 nil?

And if you want a flag, give me a plain red background with a arsenal badge in the middle. ;-)

Come on the gunners

when a team like arsenal, or any multinational club sides ban any national flags then to me it sounds like the PC brigade are being daft, afterall we ( the fans) dont get pissed off with the nationality of the players we watch, so why should we be bothered about the nationality of the bloke sitting/standing next to us?

well if they could bring enland flag seeing as walcott and hoyte are the only english players in the whole team and they aint exactly first team regulars. it would bring some heritage back to a club filled with immigrants

It is probably to stop the Arsenal squad feeling home sick. Im sure if push came to shove le tricolore would be accepted.
