Its not deliberately. Our Bulgarian nurses and the Palestinian doctor are victims of the fact that the libians dont want to admit that there is no hygiene in libian hospitals.
Its easier for them to accuse foreigners and TORTURE them with electricity and all kind of medieval methods until they admit they have done that.
Do u know the whole story ?
Innocent people are lying in prison for 9 years without verdict!!!
I am realy sorry for these children but these people are INNOCENT!!!!!
The whole process is farce!!!

Just a ploy to extract more money from the West.
The six deny infecting 426 children, more than 50 of whom have since died, with HIV at the hospital in the late 1990s.
The defendants' main lawyer said they planned to appeal to the Supreme Court against their latest conviction, which some analysts say Libya may use to strengthen its hand as it seeks foreign financial compensation in order to placate the families.
The International Council of Nurses and World Medical Association said the ruling turned a blind eye to evidence -- including from Luc Montagnier, a French doctor who first detected the HIV virus -- that the children were infected well before the medics arrived in Benghazi in 1998.
Tripoli has demanded 10 million euros (7 million pounds) for each infected child's family.

The evidence suggests this is a trumped up charge by the Libyan regime. They've been held for 6 years while the trial goes on.The suggestion is that Libya had no Aids before these people arrived in the country ........ yeah ?

If the basis of this story is true and the convictions of by the Libyan court is to be recognized, then yes it is awfully outrageous. But again, this trial has been overshadowed by legal convolutions. Some argue that this all could be a part of a medical experiment as poor in inhabitants in Africa has been used as a tool of experimentation by drug companies. Or could it be a research on the behalf of foregin intelligence agencies. But if to believe international legal observers this retrial had lacked scientific rigor.

When I read the headline, I was shocked too. But read the entire story. It sounds to me that these are trumped up charges and the HIV virus was already rampant in this medical facility and dirty needles were used. Not necessarily the nurses' fault.
Read the whole story before you judge.

One Catholic Archbishop making a remark isn't speaking for the Catholic Church as an entire, neither is his speaking for Catholic human beings. he's giving his very own opinion, which he's entitled to, and which will properly be incorrect. <> I doubt it has any consequence in any respect. <> in all possibility. You only have the Lybian side of the story, it was not "deliberate", the medical personnel that are charged worked in infected conditions. They will be released if a ransom is paid.
