Why would a prostitute not wish to fall in love? Even after she was offerred by this good woman a new, decent life? This prostitute, who is most determined to become a good woman, tries to persuade herself that she views Mr. R (the man she is attracted to) as a father? She tries not to fall in love with him, why? And is it possible for a prostitute to change into a better person? Or are they too phsycologically messed (though I'm sure they do have hope)? (The prostitute is like...18-19, the man is 35)

unfortunately we use the term making love in this life to represent having sex instead of making love to another person 24/7 with our hearts and deeds and letting that love manifest itself in caring, sharing, talking, trusting and the like. To be a prostitute for even a little while is to see how men treat the relationships that they are in and how they are willing or unwilling to treat women in general in their lives. They will tell a complete stranger things they cannot tell their girlfriends or wives because somehow paying for someones time and body makes it easiser for them because they imply ownership and therefore lack of respect so they fear communiction less.

A woman who sells her body does so each time with the knowledge that she could be seriously hurt at any time and can not in any way trust the individual that she has as a client.. to learn to trust someone at all is hard enough but to have seen the worst side of many men and know a bit of what is in their hearts and minds must scare the hell of a woman and make it very difficult to want to get into a situation in which she would be the "other woman" with a man who buys sexs, can't communicate, doesn't work at deserving trust, and in general has a less than an adult attitude about women

Bottom line is you can't run someone esle's life for them ... they and only they can decide if they can once again crawl out from under the covers and expose themelves to the possible emotional cuts and slices of the real world. if the promised rewards of such an act (of either desperation or courage) are forever weaked by past experiences then the chances are that the person will stay hidden away in their own heart because it is the one place in the entire universe that they can trust the person who is there- themselves and only themselves. it isn't ever about love it is only about trust love comes later

I think of all my insecurities and little secrets that make me scared to tell, b/c if I did, I risk the people around me not loving me for what I have done. Now, I have never done anything like prostitution before but I would image that you don't feel very good about yourself. If you can't love yourself, how can you even thing someone else could? It's a defence mechanism.

Because a prostitute is in the habit of disassociating feeling from normal acts of love, like sex for example. If you spend so much time removing the ability to love from you for professional purposes, you lose it.
Do you think you could spend that much time trying to feel nothing and later being able to just BAM feel it again? they dont fall in love because its their job not too.

Well, sometimes they are afraid that probably the thought of someone offering them a good life is just a fantasy and no one will ever give them a second chance.
