Why would a prostitute not wish to fall in love? Even after she was offerred by this good woman a new, decent life? This prostitute, who is most determined to become a good woman, tries to persuade herself that she views Mr. R (the man she is attracted to) as a father? She tries not to fall in love with him, why? And is it possible for a prostitute to change into a better person? Or are they too phsycologically messed (though I'm sure they do have hope)? (The prostitute is like...18-19, the man is 35)
