because of the sponsors, they didnt want to give the trophy to an arab player.
its a matter of business my friend, and those invertors are the ones who pay the money so they interfer with the decisions as well.
Barca players are worthy (according to them) because of the advertising and their names are very well known.
also Barca wasnt meant to lose the last match, it was unexpected and thats why the FIFA changed their minds in the last minute, to please Barca (who brings them money) after they lost.

Pure racism, according to the news the player was brought down to the stand and told he will recieve either a Silver or bronze boot award, but the same instructor then went to the stand and told him the award will be given to Ronaldinho and to show how unreasonnable that decision was he was told right after Internacionnal's goal in Barcelona

Now I assure you that Ronaldinho ais much better player, but the award is based on how much the player has "given" in the tournament, not for his life-long achievments which in that case obviously favours the egyptian.

To make the matter even clearer , FIFA never mentionned -even unofficially- that Abou Treika is the Club World Cup top Goalscorer...so you do the math...

Deco was the best player of the tournament, but I agree with the guy that said that Ronaldinho didn't deserve the award!!!!

dunno...I never watched but a lot of times more famed footballers are given preferences such as Zidane being nominated for FIFA World Player of the year while Henry was better for Arsenal and also played the whole year while ZZ had played only 6 months of the year...
