I need to get some gloves as I'm FREEZING on my way to work.

Some kind of synthetic water proof material tends to be the best for the snow. Fleece are much better for the cold.

...and the overall best option is, of course, gloves that are fleece on the inside and waterproof on the outside.

I like wool the best. It has air pockets in which trap the air and keep you warmer. Otherwise fleece would be warmer than leather.

Presuming your not going to be getting them wet (I mean picking up snow, wet things etc) then waterproof doesn't matter as much as warmth.

The fleece ones are the best when skiing..the leather ones are great when driving:P
