Its so annoying sometimes.. I've seen perfectly good and even great answers where there seems to be at least one saddo who clearly gets sexual gratification from giving them a thumbs down.
One question from George the Hippo yesterday was asking the name of someone's avatar. I gave the correct answer, and some sad tw*t gave me a thumbs down for that!! WHY?!!
Has anyone else found this? And if it is you doing it, can you STOP please and do something worthwhile with your life?

do no longer confuse score and balloting for ultimate answer. anyone can vote for ultimate answer. Thumbs up/down is reported as score and is obtainable commencing at point 2. It shows what you think of of an answer no longer inevitably the final. the guy getting ultimate answer gets one greater factor for each thumbs up. Thumbs down does not impression factors. the guy receiving the final answer gets 10 factors. that's chosen by the asker or positioned to a vote. to compliment a ultimate answer do between right here. If the question is yours you could elect a ultimate answer after 4 hours. you're starting to be 4 days to do it. whether that's somebody else's question you will could wait 4 days if the asker does not %. it himself. there'll be a "vote as ultimate answer" button. you could vote earlier the vote closes after 2 greater days. ? ??l???q ?

Well I have noticed this myself, and it's down to gamesmanship. If you watch, you will see that some answerers- i strongly suspect- give ALL the other answers a thumbs down. The thinking being that if it goes to a "community vote", they will have an automatic advantage.
Some people even have second accounts, and log back in to give their OWN answer a thumbs up, for the same reason.
There are some saddos out there, we need to remember this is only a game and - because it's the internet- will, unfortunately appeal to some weird types- like the prick who just gave me a thumbs down, for instance.

I think everyone feels the same as you. You may have offended someone with a past answer or it may have been something dumb even jealousy that you said the right answer first that spurred them to thumb you. I have a troll who tries to get as many of my questions as he/she can deleted. Even going through my old questions that have long since been resolved and getting having those deleted. That is easily done since the violation part of yahoo answers is automated and if 2 different screen names report you, then you receive a violation and your question or answer is deleted. People just make more than one account so that they can have the ones they don't like deleted. It stinks but you have to just ignore them and know that you are certainly not the only one.

I would like to give you the thumbs 'UP' sign for this question. In fact, I already have. It's just so annoying. They seem to do it if you answer a question on politics and they don't agree with the party that you favour. Sad or what ? ?
