I don't think I would notice but if I did I would be pleased that my significant other was being recognised as an important person by the card giver.
However there may be more to this. Your colleague may be upset because she feels that you are anti-feminist and have made remarks about the greater value of men over women in the past. The order of names on the Christmas card would therefore feel like a snide and underhand insult to her. And, yes, I have noticed that you are called 'Emma' but women can be bigots too.
Alternatively she may feel that if you have met her partner you behaved inappropriately by flirting with him. therefore his name appearing first would make her suspect that you have alterior motives.
The fact that you have asked this question in such an irate manner, suggests that you know the true cause of her anger and are seeking back up from strangers for your chauvenist ways. Further ammunition to throw at her at work.
If you don't like the lady then leave her alone.

Ha! Sounds like a total over reaction! Suggest you steer clear and wipe her off the Xmas card list for next year!

No it wouldn't. Some people do it to be sure that their friends partners know they're genuinely included and not just an after thought or tagged on because they're a partner. I think its a nice gesture actually.

What!!! The woman is not serious- Tell her to get a life.
She obviously has some personal issues that she is dealing with leave her to it.
And for future reference don't send her another Christmas card again.
Don't worry about it though.

Wouldn't bother me - sounds like there was a bit of an over reaction - it's so not a big deal

Not at all, it's just how things pan out. Even amongst my friends and family my girlfriend's name came first in cards etc.; it just seemed to sound better.
She clearly nuts, or at least remarkably insecure.

Oh, tell her to grow up. Saying that, if it is my friend, I put their name first and mine. And if my husband's side, I do put his first. But certainly she is over reacting. What a silly sausage!
Does she know there's a big wide world out there with tsunamis and hurricates and starvation and bombs and things?

It doesn't matter to me whether his name goes first or mine, its just nice to have both on the card. She sounds a bit mental to me!
