The hilltop city of Taal in Batangas Province is about 1 1/2 to 2 hours' drive from the Philippine capital city of Manila via Coastal Road or the South Superhighway. If you're driving a private car, take the Carmona exit and drive down through Silang up to the entrance of Tagaytay City. For commuters, there are several options available. One popular ride is the BLTB bus, which has a passenger terminal in Pasay City, Manila. Look for the Nasugbu or Balayan signboard to make sure that it will go through Tagaytay City.

A) Drive down the South Super Highway until the Tagaytay exit, and you are there.
B) Have the Seaplane pick you up in Manila Bay and drop you off in Lake Taal. It is more expensive, but a great view of the volcano!

If you want to get to the area take a bus. You'll see "Tagaytay" in the list of destinations.
If you want to go to the lake get off at the Taal Vista Hotel. There are people there who will take you to the lake itself. You can also arrange to climb the volcano in the middle of the lake but the thing is still active so be careful.
