The number 11 bus will take you from Victoria and past the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben (not forgetting to wave or whatever to Tony) , Westminster Abbey , up Whitehall and into Trafalgar Square. It then turns into The Strand which is a minutes walk south of Covent Garden. TIming all depends on the traffic ofcourse , but at least it is a scenic route from the top of the bus.

Now you have your answer, but for the future, you can also go tho this website... the transport for London journey planner. Then you can plan your trips from anywhere to anywhere in London. It will show you how to get there, how long it will take and if there are any problems (like construction delays) it will let you know.
