Am i to understand that her chat show failed but she one a comedy award for it?

OK so shes not funny....so why did she win 2 comedy awards????

She's not a comedian - just someone who some people find funny (just the same as Jonathan Ross who wouldn't describe himself as a comedian, but is, allegedly, funny).
Her chat show doesn't appear to have been a failure as Channel 4 have commissioned a Christmas Special and two further series in 2007.
As to why she won at the British Comedy Awards - why does anyone win at these awards? They are given to the people who the organisers want to recognise, irrespective of whether they are funny or talented. A great example was Sir David Jason winning Best Actor at the National Television Awards a few years back, when he'd not been on TV that year (apart from the endless repeats of A Touch Of Frost).

I was pretty staggered that she got an award. I thought the programme was tedious. I didn't think much of Russell Brand or Catherine Tate either - they got some kind of award too - they don't make me laugh either. I wonder who does find them funny and why ?

No, shes a singer, she first came to fame when she was 13 by singing opera. She has then moved on to pop music. She has had a chat show but they knida failed. Shes also known for having numerous boyfriends.

Not in am million, when her show started ithought, ok i hate the girl but ill have a look... It was the worst thing i had ever seen so turned it off after 10 mins... she is about as funny as a heart attack

I don't think she is a comedian. all i know is that she is a chat show host. she hosts the Charlotte Church show.
