I have a 512kbps broadband,but when i download a file,the transfer rate is only 50KB/s everytime...Can someone tell me a solution?

there are no wrong 512kbps = 512 kilo BIT (not byte) pes second, so if the connection is perfect the transfer rate will be 64 and it is the max number you can get.

I have 256 Kbps and the download speed is 30 Kbps. It's normal for example : 1 MB : 100 Kbps
2 MB : 200 Kbps
8 MB : 800 Kbps
10 MB : 1 Mbps

Your 512kbps is 512k bit per second in maximum.
It is about 64KB(bytes) per second.
Actually, the reall bandwidth is about 80%, that is 50KB (bytes).
So your transfer rate works very well.

It maybe fine and its just the way it looks! when i first got broadband at 256kb downloads my download speed from my ISP's website was about 20 - 25kb i asked them about it and they said that's normal.

Maybe you should try to install a download accelerator software. like Getright. you can find them in www.download.com

it depends upon the server from the server you download...
if it is good..
use dap or flash get to download from the servers...
