Is there something wrong with me...I'm 24, single have an ok job and a car but have recently had to move back home due to problems with rented house. I look at my friend who is 35, single mum and has 3 kids, her own house, car and I wish I was in that position. Most people I have told think I'm mad!!

If you want something - make it happen.
Wishing gets you nowhere.
Action speaks loudest.

You're still young. Why are you sweating the small stuff? So what? Who cares what other people have. You have a roof over your head. You still have a car. You have a family that still loves you and is willing to take you in. BE THANKFUL! Some people would have ended up homeless in your situation. There are so many people who don't have anyone or anything. You are doing better than most people. Count your blessings. This is the time of year when you should be thankful for the things you DO have. You have a job. You have your health. You have a computer. You have a warm place to sleep tonight. Thank goodness for that.
Have a merry Christmas. Don't judge yourself based on what you don't have. Judge yourself based on the things that you have accomplished and the memories that you cherish!

She has 11 years on you. I am sure that in the next 11 years you can find your way to the perfect life you want. Give it time and just keep your goals in mind. Moving home at 24 is not a big deal at all. Use it as an opportunity to start saving some money and establishing some realistic goals!

Use the time you have not paying rent to save money to get yourself in a better position. And being a single mom with three kids is not necessarily a better position. You don't know all the struggles your friend might have had to endure because of her situation.

Don't judge your life against somone else's. Take advantage of the situation you are in now to save your money and start investing for your future. don't look at this as a problem. if you get along with your parents, it's a blessing you have someplace to go. Save your money and when the time is right and you are financially ready, move on.

p.s. STOP TELLING PEOPLE YOUR BUSINESS!! Who gives a damn what they think?!?!

Bud... I'd say its something to do with karma theory...

There are a lot of people who don't even have something to cover their heads in the nights... You are fortunate to have some shelter...

Living someone else's life is no fun... Live your life... That would make it more challenging and thrilling...

All the very best... Push yourself up so that you get into a better bigger house... Have concern towards those who don't have one... Do some charity...

A bit too much of a lecture, huh?!

I'm 24, jobless, my parents won't let me get the job i want and won't let me leave the house either.. they took my money claiming they're protecting me from wasting it and i still can't travel on my own!
I live in a country that gives them the authority to do that.. and i feel my life is fading away!

ohh.. and i never driven a car!

You are only 24. Yeah it must feel bad having to move back in with your parents. Instead of being envious of your friend, admire what she has accomplished and know that you can also. It may take time but if you focus on what you want at your age I think you can attain it.

listen everything comes in a right time, the only thing you can't do is keep wishing, you have to go for it.OK you are in a bad situation now but if you keep feeling sorry for yourself and just loOKing at other people's life you won't get anywhere.and you are not mad you are just looking for some stable life and it is ok.
