ok shall we commence with information - Lyrical poetry is between the three significant branches of poetry, so for this reason all songs are poems. in case you opt for to communicate this please positioned up all contradictions to Harvard, Standford, Oxford, Yale, and Cambridge Universities. no longer all poems are songs: there is also dramatic and narrative poetry. some fool in his pretense to be a poet stated that poetry had to have a metrical sound ... umm, what about "free verse" poetry and intentional cacophony. I did thumbs down this dweeb for his incorrect information. Poetry is artwork, and the former cliche ever holds real of it ... "i'd no longer recognize (poetry), yet i recognize what i love." So please stick with what you imagine you recognize which isn't some thing yet your opinion.

Listen to few film songs. You will realise that writting songs is no big deal. You can write better than them.

In my experience, it will either come to you on its own or you might as well forget it. If you "TRY" to write a song, it usually stinks. Let it flow from within you, don't try to force it out.
