If the doctor told you were going to die if you carried on with the pregnancy.
Would you just go ahead and die and leave your other kids motherless or would you get an abortion?
If your against abortion if this happened would you swallow your hatred for abortion?

I would carry on with the pregnancy. Medicine is not an exact science and doctors (quite frequently) ARE wrong. If I aborted my baby, then went on to find out that--oops!--we made a mistake and your baby would have been fine and you would have lived, I'd never forgive myself. In the event that the doctors were correct and I did die, I wouldn't be leaving my kids childless. While they would lose their mother, they have a father who loves them very much and would take excellent care of them. And, I'd be giving my unborn child a chance at life.

This must be one of the most difficult dilemma's in life. Choosing your own life over that of your unborn child. This is not a decision to be taken lightly. There are alot of options to consider.

Is there a possibility for a second and/ or a third opinion? Maybe a different doctor will have a different view on the matter.

An other very crucial point raised is the fact that there are other children involved. If there is no chance of you both surviving the pregnancy you have to think of your other children too. How harsh as it may sound I think you can morally defend the death of your unborn baby to assure your other children having a mom to take care of them.
But let it be said that whichever decision you take, it will always hurt. I would advice you to seek counseling from medical and spiritual point of view because this is alot to take in for one person. I wish anyone dealing with a dilemma like this alot of strength, wisdom and courage.

I love how people are saying believe in God and things will work out but how many good people that believe in God die. Faith and prayer won't save you if your body is shutting down. The people who say they wouldn't abort the fetus in this hypothetical pregnancy think they are being selfless in giving life but on the other hand you are being selfish and taking your life and being away from your other children who are living and breathing and need you to be there. As a whole parents are their children's world and you are being selfish ripping the rug out from under them. I would definitly abort for the sake of my other children.

Depends on which is more important. If I love my family, I would rather live to enjoy the life and abort the child even though I will have to bear a sense of remorse towards the unborn baby.
However, If I love myself more then my family, I only want to live without any burden of regrets or remorse, I will keep the baby and die without a dang of concern for my living husband, children and the newborn baby.

if it were a certainty that i wouldn't make it, i would probably terminate the pregnancy so i could be there for my other kids. but if there were even the slightest possibility that i would survive, of course that is what i would do - survive. and in the unfortunate case where i would have to terminate the baby -- that wouldnt require swallowing my hatred for abortion. i would hate it even more.

I would choose to live for my child inside me as where there is life there is hope and how do I know what God's plans are for my unborne child you can make videos and drawings and write and do voice recordings on all the things you would like him or her to know about if you are concerned at all and leave these in the trusting hands of a loved one of yours.

The Doctor is not God he could probably be wrong. Believe in God , cause for every pregnancy that occurs God has a hand.
Somewhere in the Bible God told Jeremaih that: I new you before you were formed in your mother `s womb and I formed thee. So God has a hand in every pregnacy and if ask him he can give you both life and a child

firstly and foremost
there is no certainty to life at all
and a doctor can never predict anything
i am the very result of a choice given above
perhaps if you rely on god and prayer a lot many things can be wrought

Hmmm...I don't have a clue what I would do....It'd have to be something I would talk to my fiance about...I personally...would rather live...because going through the pregnancy...if it could kill me...it could as easily kill the baby as well...so may as well save one of us..

not to be cruel but, u could always make another one. it may sound cruel, but it's YOUR life that we're talking about. and consider how your other kids would suffer if you ended up dying.. but as much as possible, consider ur decision properly
