i think that you have to be registered for more than 30 days and signup for msn live email..also it would depend on where you live..i don't think that it's available everywhere...

I wasnt aware they offered more than 256mb still.

Try

Gmail it offers 2gb+ and its 100% free

Yahoo mail also offers 1 or 2gb now.

Switch to windows live mail, you will be promoted to 2GB mail box..
