I fell pregnant three times while on the pill...... for some people it just doesnt work...

You are not trapped into anything.... what makes you think you are?? Your girlfriend is pregnant with your child.... how is that a trap?? She may be feeling a little trapped as it is her body that is going to change and cop all the hassles one way or the other over this pregnancy....

See for you it is simple... you can walk away if that is what you want and ignore the fact that you impregnated a girl..... but she has to deal with it one way or the other....

For future reference..... use condoms....

Now THAT is a harsh assumption to make about your girlfriend!
Your question has a very negative element in it and it makes one wonder what kind of relationship you are in.

First off, you should know that the pill is NOT 100% full proof in preventing pregnancies. It's always better to be safe and go double dutch using a condom AND the pill to keep both of you safe from pregnancy AND STD's. One cannot be too safe.

Than there's the relationship with your girlfriend. Do you really love and trust her? Sounds to me like there might be some issues there. Why would the woman you love trick you into anything? It also seems like you view this pregnancy as some scheme of your girlfriend to keep you connected to her. Ask yourself the following questions: do you love her regardless of the pregnancy, can your relationship survive this pregnancy, would you really leave your girlfriend to end up as a single mother taking care of your child or are you ready to take responsibility for your actions (she didn't get pregnant all by herself!!)

It would be wise to have a good talk together and visit a doctor to discuss what's been going on and what your options are.
I wish you both wisdom and straight during these times.

Women can get pregnant whilst on the pill. Its not too common but it does happen. There are many reasons for this so I would not worry that she has trapped you. Please try to be supportive of her, after all if she has been taking the pill and this has happened she must be feeling very upset about it. Good luck to you both.

No!

The pill is not 100% effective at the best of times. Medication, high doses of vitamins (esp Vitamin C) & natural herbs (esp St John's Wort) are known to interfere with the pill.

If YOU didn't want children, then it needed to be YOU that made sure it didn't happen. It's hard, but it's a big lesson in personal responsibility.

You may not be trapped. there are women that become pregnant on the pill. it is only one sure true way of not getting pregnant/disease and that is obscenest, there could also be a reason that she could have taken something (not being malice) that could have canceled out the birth control pills, ex=antibiotics. Ether way please don't look at it as being trapped, children are a gift from God.

Y'know it is possible to get pregnant when using the pill, even when using faithfully according to directions. Whether she missed a pill, was on antibiotics, or was skipping them intentionally, you've not so much been trapped as irresponsible. Where was your condom if you didn't want a baby?

it is possible she has "trapped" you...but then again, i myself have gotten pregnant when on the pill...i had changed brands because the one i was on was too strong and making me naseus all the time....but the brand they switched me too was TOO low and i ended up getting pregnant....

my friend also got pregnant while on the pill....her problem was she wasnt taking her pill at the same time everyday and the hormones werent being released correctly

i would sit down and have a serious conversation with your girlfriend....maybe she will tell you if she "trapped" you....

u mean u didnt have sex and now she's pregnant!?

there is no such thing as "safe" sex, only abstinence. some women r on the pill for decades and can still fall pregnant.

if u didnt want a child, u shouldn't have had sex.

she didn't trap u; u were trapped by ur own desire. u wanted to be a man, now act like one.

maybe maybe not my friend was on the pill and got pregnant because she had been a little ill and was sick and then forgot she should then use other precausions. You should talk to your partner and tell her your worries, as only she knows the truth and an put your mind at ease!
