i just bought a HDMI lead for my xbox 360. It will not connect.?

I thought it would be easier than the lead supplied. Have i just wasted £35, or is there a way around it. ?

You might be able to get an adapter for it at a large computer place. You first have to know what kind of connection the X-box takes.
