Denial, anger, acceptance, shock. Who can say in which order? I know of this kind of loss also and being able to cope with the support of others is a positive thing. Losing people in your life is a difficult road to travel. We need support of others, and to give understanding to life as it changes. Like a flower loses the petals the scent is with us...forever in our hearts. Memories will come up, and tears will flow, but this is the healing of the heart. They will always be with you wherever you go in life. Til you meet again.

First, I am sorry for your losses. Grief counseling can be useful. I went after my Dad and then my Mom died. I think that grief follows an individual course. There are similarities but don't expect what you are going through to be exactly like anyone else. Make sure that you have a counselor you trust and can relate to openly.

I'm really sorry for your losses. My mom died 4 years ago. I didn't go to grief counseling, but I think it's great that you are and I hope you get alot out of it. I think the 4 stages of grief are anger, denial, bargaining and acceptance.

I lost 5 people in my family in the past few years ranging from Dad to Brother in April this year.
4 stages I went through are
denial
anger
depression
and acceptance (or moving on) you do not forget you get used to it!
I am sorry for your losses. No I did not go through grief counseling because I had to be strong for others in my family, that alone helped me cope. But that method does not proove to be effective for everyone!
I wish you luck it is not easy.

Sorry to learn the lost of your loved ones. It must have been hard on you. You see, people come people go. To lost three in one single year must have been painful for you. However, be consoled that God has plans for everybody. Perhaps through these episodes you learn to be strong. I'm not familar with the four stages of mourning. However, I know there is the denial stage, then the mourning stage followed-by the acceptance stage. Once one passes the acceptance stage, things would look better. You take care and if you need to talk, my email address is cseahhome@yahoo.com

Sorry that is terrible.
I dont know about grief counceling but Im sure it would help you cope somewhat if you think you cant do it on your own. All I can say is having had many close deaths including a child, TIME will help. It does not heal you at all but it does make things easier.
