Nothing to be alarmed by, some common factors can be use of alcohol the night before, the use of recreational drugs any of them can cause this, The alcohol can cause it b/c alcohol dehydrates the body and when you are dehydrated you urinate a stonger warmer dark yellow tint of red. When you use drugs it is to the same affect. You see your body is trying to get rid of more toxins than usual and therefore urinateing them out, and the color is distorted from normal and warmer with a stronger odor as well.
If none of the above is anything you have experienced you may want to go and see a Med- Center or go into the ER and have blood work done. Usually just a CBC can let you know if you have been internally bleeding, and a urinallysis can tell you if your have blood in your urine thus a Hematuria, blood in your urine, this can be serious and somtimes caused by kidney stones, or infection in the kidneys or bladder, but it is a must to get blood work b/c the possibility of bladder cancer is there. Good Luck

Sounds like a UTI- bladder infection. Redish as in blood?? That DEFINATELY need's to be checked out...either way you should get on an antibiotic. That happened to me, and then it seemed fine, next thing I had a kidney infection, which is absolutely horrible!! Also, drinking cranberry juice really helps! Almost all doctors recommend that.

Urine discoloration can be from a number of things, actually. I would say that this is almost exclusively dietary. Examples are larger quantities of B vitamins turning urine neon yellow (I'm not exaggerating), or beets turning urine a pinkish tone.
Very dark urine could also indicate being mildly dehydrated. I would suggest that you drink a lot of water, perhaps even gatorade or equivilant, and see if it gets normal. If not, consulting a doctor would be a good idea.

You probably have an infection, possible kidey stones OR are dehydrated. Since you urinated without any burning pains, or difficulties, try drinking more water. Lemoade and/or cranberry juice is better and see how it is after a 24 hour period. Hopefully you weren't injured around the lower abdominal area antytime. but try those and if it works, then carry on, but if it persists, then see a doctor.

You should go to the doctor to have this checked. You may be dehydrated. People tend to drink a lot less water in the cold months. Your body still needs to be flushed out even in the winter weather. Urine does turn dark and have a strange odor to it when you are dehydrated. Also different vitamins can do this also.

Often when a person is dehydrated, their urine gets a dark color & has a strong smell to it. I would ask you if you had any headaches yesterday, as well? A headache is the body's first signal that you are dehydrated.
I would encourage you to drink lots of water today. Chances are, once you've put some water into your system, you'll feel right as rain.

i would get a check up. Usually your first pee is darker cause its been in the body all night but if thers spots of blood then go and get advice. Could be an underlying infection.

You will want to go to doctor immediately. You are probably urinating blood. This can be caused by damage to the kidneys or some other serious problem.
