Were you in a great hurry? Or do you need to take English lessons? Anyway, it depends on your criteria for evaluating the best player. Cannavaro is not now, nor ever will be the most exciting player in football. If you want to evaluate on fun factor or pure talent, the obvious choice is Ronaldinho. However, Cannavaro makes a pretty good choice if your criteria is who helped his team succeed the most. I personally think there may be several other players who would have made a better choice for player of the year.

Being a captain doesn't make Cannavaro the best player. You got to look thouroughly of all of the games on the season or event. I think Zizou deserves it. Although he made a little mistake at the end of WC, he didn't start the fire though, he is still the best player. A living legend, I can say.
