Arithmetic mean is 20 ==> original total is 15 * 20 = 300.
After adding two values mean is 24 ==> new total is 17 * 24 = 408. So the two values added sum to 408 - 300 = 108.
The ratio is 4:5, so the values are 4x and 5x, where 4x + 5x = 108 ==> 9x = 108 ==> x = 12. So the values added are 48 and 60.

Let V = the 15 values,
Then V / 15 = 20, that is, V = 15 * 20 = 300

Now add 2 more, call them a and b.
Thus, (V + a + b) / 17 = 24
Therefore, V + a + b = 17 * 24 = 408
So, a + b = 408 - 300 = 108

Now, a:b = 4:5, so, a/b = 4/5, thus, a = 4b/5.
Substituting this into a + b = 108 gives:
4b/5 + b = 108
9b/5 = 108
b/5 = 12
b = 60, which means a = 108 - 60 = 48.
Therefore, the numbers are 48 and 60.

Mean of 15 numbers = 20 .... sum of these 15 numbers = 15 x 20 = 300

Two more numbers added ... so total numbers become 17

Mean of 17 numbers = 24 ... Sum of 17 numbers = 17 x 24 = 408

So, the sum of the two numbers newly added = 408 - 300 = 108

These two numbers are in the ratio of 4 : 5

So, divide 108 in the ratio of 4 : 5 to get the new numbers ....

9x = 108, x = 12

So the numbers are 4 x 12 = 48 and 5 x 12 = 60 .........
