I think when people dance, certain chemicals for pleasure are released in your brain (such as serotonin). Just the way our brain reacts when we laugh.
I think when people dance, no one is paying attention to anyone else but themselves and how they feel they look to the crowd. Others, sex.

Well, since humans of alll kinds have been dancing for trillions of years, there are lots of things that have gone thru the minds of dancers. But when you really lose all that self consciousness and just dig the music and get into it, you get really lost in it, and I feel that's the best thing about dancing. You can become one with the rhythm and the movement and the emotion and it just carries you, and there's nothing left but the result of you merging with the music, pure movement. The universe shrinks down to just your body, your partners body, and the song, but the universe gets very big too because you are part of something that goes beyond your normal everyday self. Somme people dance to look good and show off to other men or women. Some people dance because it seems to be the thing to do. But dancing was invented for merging and moving, and if you let go of your inhibitions and let the music carry you away I promis you will have a good time. Anybody who would criticize you for doing this obviously is too caught up in their own feelings of self-consciousness and inadequacy to understand what I'm talking about. And no matter how good you are there are always plenty of critics. Even more, the better you are. Don't listen to them. They are sad small people.

I have thought things like that before, usually in insecure moments though. More often, music makes me truly feel alive and I just want to move to it as an affirmation of life. Cheesy but true. It's like a crossing of boundries between the senses. Moving in the way that the music sounds, much like the way you might associate a colour with a certain smell or see an image in your mind's eye when you taste something familiar, dancing is a way of expressing what you feel. That's why everybody does it differently.

I think that for many, dancing is a form of escapism from every day life. You forget your worries and just enjoy the music.
I think people who are naturally extrovert and who don't care so much what others think are usually the first to hit the dance floor. So maybe for them it is a way of establishing or confirming an image that they want to portray. Less confident people normally wait for a fuller dance floor before they try their grooves. I think it is definitely part of the mating game too, some sort of non-contact foreplay. I agree, it is fascinating.

People dance because they feel the motions of the music and what goes through their mind while dancing is trying to keep up with the music.

I even have some questions so you might think of approximately: a million. How do you cost the success of teh first ever Australian so which you think of you could Dance? it form of feels to have stepped forward a solid aim industry particularly in direction of the middle of the season. 2. evaluate skills with usa. no longer almost as gifted form sensible yet there's a physicality and an acrobatic sense to the instruct the U. S. would not have. 3. How do you cost the contestents? Jack, Kate, Demi, Rhys in that order. 4. How do you sense relating to the adult adult males that made it by using (eg; Rhys, Jack, Graeme, the 'much less manly' adult adult males being very final 3 adult adult males, jointly as the greater manly adult adult males like Anthony, Henry, Kali, etc being eradicated first of all)? ignore approximately length. it particularly is approximately skills, looks and marketability. those boys had all of those features. 5. aim industry? All women? Teenage women and females age 24 - 40, in accordance with each and every of the sorrowful thoughts and quite boy contestants. 6. Do you think of we are able to have yet another sequence in 2009? It looks very in all possibility based on the reaction to this point. additionally, i could purely opt to declare that I watched the american so which you think of you could Dance, and that i enjoyed it, yet I truthfully could no longer deliver myself to observe the Aussie version. the only guy or woman I enjoyed interior the finals substitute into Demi, and he or she have been given eradicated. i in my view think of its stressful to make certain Australia being represented by using a minority team saying they are Australia's primary Dancer. 7. final yet no longer least, who won? i ended whilst Demi substitute into eradicated. no person in spite of the undeniable fact that it is going to maximum in all possibility be Jack. he has the girls vote casting for him. He has the fast ft and the long legs and that's wowing the aim industry.

I am always so "in the moment" when I'm dancing, I'm not really thinking. I'm just very in tune with the music and enjoying myself. I can't explain why people dance, except that its a pleasure you can't quite get anywhere else. I guess that's why we as humans have been doing it for centuries.

I'll be honest.
When I was single and used to dance I was trying to figure out "how can I get this chick into bed with me?"
I never did figure it out. I've been married twice, but neither time to a woman I had danced with before I married her.
