I never answer. In fact the ringer is off so I don't hear it.

Depends, our phone rings differently for someone on our list. So if it rings without that, I will let it go and check voice mail either. Unless it's in the middle of the night and then I figure it could be someone we know from the hospital or something, God Forbid.
Now if it's someone I know I look at the caller id, depending on who it is they can leave a message or I will answer.

If I was sleeping and the phone rang, I would have to let the machine get it and check the messages later. I can't really answer the phone when I am taking my zzzzzz. You can say I am devoted to sleep whenever its given to me.

I answer because I don't have an answering machine, and it maybe something to do with my sick mother, so I want to make sure I can be available if anything bad should happen.
