Your not so stupid as to think because the two words, Democracy and democrat both start with a D means they are some how connected?

I want to correct you. Democrats are not for Democracy they are for socialism, They want a government that will provide for them

One, I hope that Democrats aren't for Democracy because they're doing a really bad job of it by giving the government more power. THIS COUNTRY IS A FREAKIN' REPUBLIC!

Now, that that's over, on with the question which I really don't understand.

If you believe in conservative values, I suppose, is what most people designate as Republicans but it varies. A Democrat is a person who believes that a Democrat will do the best job in government. A Republican is a person who believes a Republican will do the best job. I always have and always will vote for the person who I believe will do the best job, regardless of party.

Republicans and Democrats are both for democracy they are just the two major political parties in U.S.A. like the many other now and before. there are certain core beliefs which change over time to fit with public opinion but basically remain the same or so the general public is led to believe.
