I was wondering if a person who thinks they are pregnant could possibly feel something that they think is fetal movement? I know this sounds stupid... but i can tell a big difference between gas and fetal movement. could that possibly happen? I have heard of the pyschological pregnancy...does this happen?

Well, as far as I've ever heard, the psychological pregnancy can and does happen. If you think you are pregnant, for you to be feeling movement, you'd be at least 15 weeks, and probably closer to 18. So, if you really think you might be pregnant, you should get a test done and find out for sure. You could have a blood test, or you could go see your GYN for a Pap. Your cervix changes when you become pregnant, so it's the best way to find out if you are pregnant or not. The ultrasound would be for confirming how far along you are.
Personally, I can't imagine thinking I might be pregnant for that long, and not getting a definative answer.
Good Luck.

It's called pseudocyesis. Some people have all the symptoms.

There is also the possibility of being pregnant and your hormone levels are not high. My friend was 6 months pergnant before hers came back positive. Ask for an ultrasound.

You are carrying an alien fetus. Report this to NASA immediately! (Sorry, I couldn't resist!)
